Hopefully there will be a new deluge of information after the reveal tomorrow.  Before that here’s a last “little things”, before we start posting all the big things.

Starting with the 2010 Range Rover refresh, the Land Rover badge, was removed from the rear of the vehicle, but remained in the front grill.  Starting for the 2012MY, the badges on the wheel centers switched from Land Rover to the new Range Rover logo that the Evoque received.

In those first five official pictures we saw of the next Range Rover, the rear Land Rover badge has returned and the wheels centers are Land Rover in some pictures and Range Rover in others.

I think this return to Land Rover badging could be a fluke or could be something more in line with their new advertising campaign, where they back to reminding us where they came from.  I like it.

Yes, those are 22” wheels, an option for the new Range Rover.

And the rear badging:

Finally, there were questions from the various spy shots about whether or not we’d see the armrests like the previous Range Rovers, in the new Range Rover.  While we won’t actually know until we get more details, this shot is encouraging.

So it looks like they registered the “LAND ROVER ABOVE AND BEYOND” trademark in the nick of time.

As we first read in the initial press release, the back seat was getting some new attention:

With over 4.7 inches more legroom than the outgoing model, the rear occupants benefit from vastly increased space and comfort. The option of a two place rear seating package provides for the ultimate in personalized rear-seat luxury.

Similar to what they did with the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate and Jaguar did with their XJ Ultimate, they swap out the center rear seat for a console upgrade.

I’m sure a lot of thought went into the decision of what colors to announce the 2013 Range Rover with.  It could be some new marketing formula, Gerry McGovern’s preference or maybe just a color roulette wheel (Stornoway Gray was just one position off on the wheel).

Then I remembered, we actually did see the trim against a dark paint color.

First, a close up of the released photo(with highlights):

The paint color kind of hid the fact that, along with the trim strips running across the side and back of the 2013 Range Rover, there is also a strip that runs along the front of the new Range Rover face.  It’s similar to the strip we currently see on the L322 supercharged Range Rover.  The light paint colors really disguise it.

BUT, we were lucky enough to find this spy shot just days before the release.  And here on a black car, that trim strip really pops, along with something else that’s not clear on the released pictures…

Those new front horizontal vents are finished metallically too!

I have to admit, the 2013 Range Rover is growing on me very quickly and seeing it here without the new trim makes it look too boring!
