The Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Pivi Pro system is equipped with advanced features that allow users to stay connected and updated while on the road. Here are some of the JLR requirements for a successful update, as of 9/2024:

TCU must be activated
The vehicle must have a good network connection.
BEV and PHEV vehicles must not be charging the main battery (not 12v).
BEV and PHEV vehicles, main battery should be more than 25% charged.
The vehicle must be locked.
The windows must be fully raised and calibrated.
The 12v battery must have sufficient Ah to complete the campaign.
There must be no scheduled (timed) climate event.
Remote start must not be active.
The hazard warning lamps must not be on.
The alarm must not be triggered (active).
The brakes must not be too hot.
External temperature should not be below – 10C.

This update improves the Wireless Charging Pad performance.

Note:
As part of this update, please ensure the Wireless Charging Pad and surrounding area are completely clear of all items – especially any metal objects – before starting.

In addition, this update delivers:

Refined powertrain behaviour for 6-cylinder diesel vehicles in high crosswinds.

Updated manual shift behaviour when switching between Drive and Sport while in Off-Road Terrain Modes.

Improvements to deployable sidestep operation: obstructions now pause the step at the obstruction point rather than triggering a full retraction.

Calibration improvements to powered tailgate.

Improved wireless charging to support a wider range of devices.

This update brings bug fixes and general performance improvements to the following systems where applicable:
Powertrain.
Battery Management.
Diagnostic improvements.

Note: Improvements may differ based on build year, specification, or factory fitted optional extras.

PHEV only: Please note that for a short period of time, you may experience some disruption in the EV capabilities after the update has completed. Please disconnect the vehicle charger and ensure the battery has a minimum charge level of 25% before starting the update.

Software update available for your Range Rover

What’s included in this software update:

Improvements to the software update system itself, helping your vehicle receive future updates more smoothly and reliably.

Enhancements to remote diagnostics, allowing your Range Rover to report more detailed information to our technical teams for faster, more accurate issue detection.

Following this update, over the air updates will be possible whilst the vehicle is actively charging using an ‘AC’ charger, such as a home charger.

Please note: If the vehicle is plugged in but not currently charging, you will need to schedule the update for the same time the vehicle is scheduled to be charging or disconnect the charging cable. Over the air updates cannot be carried out whilst using rapid ‘DC’ chargers.

PHEV only: After completing the update, EV capabilities may be temporarily affected. To ensure optimal performance, please disconnect the vehicle charger and confirm the battery has a minimum charge level of 25% before starting the update

Pivi Pro OS 4.4.0 Release Notes

**Thanks to all who sent this in, much appreciated.  I’m updating with the Range Rover specific notes now that I’ve personally received 4.4.0 (March 2, 2026), a week after receiving 4.3.4 (February 24, 2026).

Voice interaction, Reimagined for Range Rover experience.

This update provides an extension to the existing voice features available within your vehicle, powered by generative AI, enabling more natural interactions.

– Understands everyday language, Including regional accents
– Able to answer general questions and engage in casual – conversations.
– Interrupt or change your request mid-sentence.
– Clearer voice recognition, even with background noise.

Note: Connected speech is available as part of the Online Pack with an active data plan subscription. Availability of the Online Pack is market-specific and may vary by vehicle specification. To enable this feature where available, please ensure that “Enhanced AI” is turned on in the voice settings menu. By enabling this feature, you understand and agree that personal data (specifically voice data and personal data included within your questions) may be shared with third parties including Cerence and Microsoft (which we may update from time to time). Details of this feature and how JLR processes your personal data can be found in the InControl Privacy Policy and InControl Touch Pro and Pivi Pro Feature Terms.

This update also brings bug fixes and general performance advancements.

– Audio improvements which resolves loss of audio and audio selection.
– Security improvements.
– Connected Navigation expiry notification enhancement with the introduction of QR code short cut to JLR storefront to allow customers to renew subscriptions.
– Intelligent, predictive route planning: When charging is required on route, your Range Rover will now plan charge stations using a predictive algorithm to ensure charge stations are available on arrival.
Improvement to wireless connectivity.
– EV enhancements.
– Cabin Fragrance.

– Permission settings to control connected features access to location. (China)
– Introduction of live charging station data. (China)
– Removal of subscription services. (China)
