Range Rover Velar Touch Pro Duo Fan Control via passenger dial after screen press
I had wondered how this would work after not giving it a try when I saw it in person.
Driver side control handles temperature for driver, pressing it switches to climate seat setting. Passenger dial does the same but if you press the fan touchscreen button, passenger dial then controls fan speed. The touchscreen button also displays the fan speed.
Obviously Touch Pro Duo will roll out up and down the line, so this info won’t always be Velar specific.
InControl Touch Pro Duo lower screen can default to user pref on start up, even blank

Just an interesting bit of info, the lower InControl Touch Pro Duo screen on the Range Rover Velar can be programmed to startup per the driver’s preference. And will operate/display in any one of the following ways on startup:
- Climate.
- Seats.
- Vehicle.
- Phone.
- Media.
- Last used: Select to return to last used feature on screen start up
- No feature: Select to display a blank screen on screen start up.
Range Rover Velar steering wheel controls gain new finger sweep gesture

Focusing on the 1, 2 and 1,2 & 3 above:
- Volume up: Press to increase the volume for any source.
- Volume sweep: Finger sweep clockwise to increase, counter clockwise to decrease.
- Volume down: Press to decrease the volume for any source.
The 6 shown above is the Customizable button and can be configured to activate via either a long or short press. It can be programmed to perform one of the following functions:
- Cancel guidance.
- Next source.
- Mute speaker.
- Play/pause.
- Voicemail.
- Mute microphone.
- Hold.
- Auto reject.
- Upper screen off.
- Traffic alerts.
**Obviously this is still the first go at the Velar manual, but there are inconsistencies. The Phone screen says you have to scroll on the touchscreen but the audio screen says you can use the steering wheels controls to scroll call or contacts lists.
Did Land Rover tech site confirm 2.0L Ingenium Petrol Hybrid for 2018 Range Rover?

Found some interesting changes for the MY18 Range Rover while browsing around on TOPIx today. We knew they’ve been testing them but still don’t know all the details. Still showing the existing 3.0L V6 Diesel and 5.0L V8 Supercharged options, they’ve removed the V6 Petrol and added in the 2.0L AJ200P Ingenium Petrol engine suffixed as a Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle(PHEV). Transmission also gets a new name. Range Rover Sport also got the PHEV option and it continues to show the 3.0L V6 Petrol as an option(see below).
The previous Hybrid available in the UK was diesel based and did not use the same moniker for the transmission.
A 4-cylinder Range Rover. Can’t wait to see the numbers, I bet it’s going to be impressive. And this MY18 refresh is going to be a big one.

UPDATE: Further still, another little bit of info was right there too:
The CDA suffix for the 5.0L V8 – CDA is Cylinder Deactivation.
