Range Rover Autobiography–Orange, I mean Tan Interior

The Tan color choice for the Autobiography Range Rovers was one I was actually thinking of getting, shown here on the Build and Price page  – it looks good – a tan that’s more brown then orange.

Here are some other official shots – starting to look more orange:

And finally some real life shots posted over at RangeRovers.net:

And I realize the lighting or camera may not have been perfect, but please make sure if you’re considering this color combo, you see it in person before ordering.  And if you were hoping for an orange interior choice – then go for it!

2011 Range Rover–Official PR Photo, photoshopped?

This official PR photo of the interior of the 2011 Range Rover never looked quite right to me – specifically the new transmission control area – the shadows didn’t seem correct, the coloring looked almost like is was drawn rather then being a photograph of a real item.  The right side looks like it’s not continuously even with the wood trim – wider towards the front of the vehicle, nearer towards the back.  And we can clearly seem it’s the same height and butts up with the vertical section at the back.  The top of the rotary selector looks like it was painted in.

In this frame from the PR video – there is a much different look.  Much more shallow and then it kicks up at the end –  and the top of the rotary selector is metallic now.

So it appears those first official 2011 interior photos were either using pre-production designs or were just copied & pasted to create the new look.  While in the picture below, there’s a more refined design.  I wonder what the lead time is on taking these photos – why couldn’t they wait until the interior was locked and get actual photos?

2011 Range Rover Video–Finally something we haven’t seen

I don’t know how I missed this one, found it over on rangerovers.net and it’s got it all.

  • Rear Seat Recline in Action
  • Rotary Electronic Transmission Selector
  • Steering Wheel Shift Paddles
  • Display going through all 8 gears
  • Insane Rear Seat Entertainment Controller

I’m not sure where this video actually comes from, I know it’s official Land Rover, but it’s not on any of the official LR media sites that I can find – anyway – Enjoy!

Range Rover Autobiography – US Options

To close out the Range Rover Autobiography posts – here are some of the listed options for the US-spec – there aren’t many.

We do see the:

Seat Pack ‘Style 3’ – which is the full rear sear treatment, heated & cooled, reclining and the upgraded headrests for $2500.

Climate Pack – Automatic four zone air conditioning, climate controlled windscreen and front side glass for $1000

An option I couldn’t care less about: Half wood Leather steering wheel & Gearknob Pack for $1000.

Surround Camera System (includes Tow Assist) for $800 – this one really should be standard on the Autobiography

Audio System – LOGIC7® Hi-Fi (1,200 Watt 19 speakers surround sound harmon/kardon® system)  – they list no price on this one, but I don’t believe it was standard on the Autobiography – probably just a mistake on the website – they don’t always proof it so well.

And finally – Audio System – Digital radio (HD) for $350.
