I know I’ve posted about this before but again due to the confused nature of the Land Rover information I’m not completely sure about this one.

This audio system showed up on both the LRUK website and the LRNA Build Your Vehicle page as an option for the 2010.  Then at the 2009 Frankfurt show they decided to officially announce it.  When they did announce it, it was grouped in with new Autobiography specific information.  And the pictures they did release had Autobiography in the filename and on the 2010 media site; they were under the new Autobiography section.  And it is clear that picture is from an Autobiography model – you can see the stitched leather seams in the upper right and it even seems the terrible hard plastic, usually around the 2007+ door handle, has a leather texture.

As per the LRNA site, it’s an option available on the HSE, so the question is, can any model Range Rover get the audio upgrade or is it Autobiography only?

Well a lot of the information coming officially from Land Rover can be confusing or contradicting; I’m going to just go with the latest pics.  As per the official Land Rover 2010 Media site, these are the Autobiography colors available.  They have added an Autobiography section to the 2010 media site however they still have very Autobiography specific shots mixed into the general interior pictures – but as I said their info can be confusing, not sure if it’s too many people working on this with little communication or one person who just doesn’t keep up with it?

Anyway – here are some Autobiography interiors, not sure what exactly that means, if they are the only choices now or just samples of what we’ll see – again confusing – more to come…

And just to clarify, beyond the color schemes shown the Autobiography interior is identified by the full leather headliner.

And again from the LR UK site, some specifics on the Rear Sear Recline option:

Reclining rear seats with four-way lumbar control, heated/cooled functionality, head restraints with lateral support.

In the new 2010 Range Rover rear accommodation has been improved with enhanced noise insulation and complements the recent redesign to rear seating, which increased comfort
and ease of entry and exit. The option of electronically controlled reclining rear seats, offering up to eight degrees of recline, is available. This is the perfect place to travel in chauffeur-driven style, comfort and luxury, whether travelling for business or pleasure.

Checking out the LR UK site and we get a little more info on those 5 additional speakers:

1,200W audio system incorporates five additional new integrated speakers. Four in the doors. One centrally-mounted in the facia

So Land Rover NA finally updated their website and we can now configure a 2010 Range Rover on the site.  Site itself is not perfect, but there were a few things that popped out.

First on the Colors page, the only inteior color option using the new Duo-Tone choice is the Navy/Parchment Seats / Navy Carpet option.  Hopefully we’ll see more here eventually.

Then the real interesting info is on the Options page with two new options that hadn’t been officially announced in the U.S. yet, as far as I know:

    1200 watt Audio System Upgrade
    19 Speaker 1200 Watt HK System – $1350

    Rear Seat Recline
Includes Passenger Memory, 4-way Headrests, and front seat away – $1250

The audio system upgrade should be great.  I know we already saw evidence of the adjustable rear seats, but I never thought we’d actually see it over here, can’t wait to see it in person.
