MY2015 Range Rover Official Info & Pricing for the North American Market

The details we’ve all been waiting for, linked below is JLR Bulletin MRPR14-24 2015 MY RANGE ROVER PRODUCT INFORMATION WITH PRICING.  We knew most of what was changing but still some interesting items.  Also news, the US orders will start in late July with builds beginning October 13, 2014.

The Land Rover badging has made its way to the engine cover for the 2015 Range Rover.

We also can confirm that side view approach/puddle lamps will match the Range Rover logo disc found between the front and rear doors of Range Rover and the Range Rover Sport.  This will bring the silhouette imagery to the entire Range Rover family.

Minor updates for MY2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport

Various sources indicated to me that the MY2015 wouldn’t bring too many changes and now I know which of my sources to really believe – even had the new silver color in a tip.

Here’s the official PR, not much but I definitely could have used the Intelligent Cargo Mode on the 4th of July.  And the fixed panoramic roof is great, it would make for a tough decision – go for full glass without the crossbeam or keep the crossbeam and the ability to open the roof up.

2014 Range Rover – Reverse Traffic Detection

l405-rtd

Reverse Traffic Detection (RTD) does a great job at alerting the driver if a car perpendicular to you is approaching quickly – very handy when backing out of a parking spot when you can’t fully see what’s coming in either direction.  The red indicator in the image above appears over the reverse camera display along with an audio alert and flashing Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) indicators in the side view mirrors.

The system is described best in the video below.

Discovery Vision Concept and Range Rover Long wheelbase Hybrid show up in Beijing

These just popped up on the Land Rover Media site.  The Discovery Vision Concept looks to just be computer animated, same as the other official pictures.  The Taklamakan Orange presented here makes that more apparent with a little zooming.vision-concept-version2-large

It looks better in these tweets from the Beijing show:

And here’s a Range Rover Long Wheelbase Hybrid:

The Asian shows always get fun and different colors from Jaguar Land Rover.
