Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate – Updated photos #rangerover

Land Rover just released a great new batch of photos of the forthcoming Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate. For me it’s the close up of the front window controls & the front door card shot itself that really show the small details they’re focusing on with this limited edition. And again I have to say – these are the kind of things that Land Rover should have had in the vehicle for a while- less plastic BMW trim, more wood & metallic trims. We also get a good shot of the wheel with the new branding on the middle cap, just like the Evoque – “Range Rover”

Inside Line Video: Snowbound in the 2011 Range Rover #rangerover

Great video of a Range Rover in the snow and on top of that, the instructor along for the ride is Fred Monsees. Fred has been at all the off-road events my local dealership has put on for many years, he’s a Land Rover expert and a real nice guy.

2011 Range Rover Supercharged–Latest official North American pictures #rangerover

Most of the official 2011 Range Rover pictures came out around the middle of last year, but they were focused on the TDV8 model with it’s 8-speed transmission & rotary gear selector. Here are the Land Rover USA official shots of the North American spec Range Rover Supercharged. I’ll add in the PR & spec sheet below for good measure.

Introducing the 2011 Range Rover: the most capable and luxurious SUV in the world

Class-leading V8 engines, a multi-talented 6-speed transmission, Terrain Response® upgrades and external styling enhancements all combine to ensure the 2011 Range Rover retains its crown as king of the luxury SUV segment.

The range-topping, 5.0-liter, 510hp supercharged and 375hp naturally-aspirated V8s deliver supreme performance. Their uncompromising, world-class performance is not accompanied by an increase in fuel consumption and emissions compared to their predecessors. These lightweight, direct injection engines combine benchmark efficiency with outstanding power and torque. Acceleration in the naturally aspirated car to 60 mph is reached in just 7.2 seconds, while for those who want the utmost in performance, the supercharged V8 will rush to 60 mph in a mere 5.9 seconds.

Range Rover Sport GT Limited Edition – Wait, what?

I’m not sure how I missed this new trim level for the Range Rover Sport in 2011. First I remember reading this press release but for some reason overlooked the GT part. Then I actually saw one at my local dealer a month or two ago, but thought it was just some unique exhaust package. Maybe if it actually had a GT badge I would have investigated further. And finally, it’s on the actual ~~Land Rover USA~~ Range Rover USA website, which is usually the last site to get any of the latest updates. Although as the norm for the site, even though the other Sport models get the proper picture to go with their descriptions, the page for the GT Sport does not show an actual GT Sport but what looks like a regular HSE. You would think a company this large with really just 5 versions of this model in the US could maybe put up a picture of it on their official website?

And the big question for me is – is the Exterior Design Pack still coming or is this how people in the US can will be able to get it at all?

Anyway, the press release below is the latest on the 2011 Range Rover Sport and the new GT Limited Edition. From what I can see, the GT is nicely optioned HSE with unique styling cues – it seems with a name like GT, the supercharged engine would have been a nice addition too, but I guess they didn’t want it competing with the Autobiography option package, which apparently is no longer limited. I know I’m late on stuff sometimes, but this delay was ridiculous.

2011 RANGE ROVER SPORT MODELS GAIN AUDIO, LUXURY AND TECHNOLOGY FEATURES

MAHWAH, N.J. – The Range Rover Sport models enter the 2011 model year with a solid round of refinements, following a transformational 2010 model year that imbued these performance-focused luxury SUVs with all-new powertrains, a more luxurious interior and enhanced chassis control technology.

In addition, a 2011 Range Rover Sport GT Limited Edition is available, combining the performance of the naturally aspirated 375-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 with a similar styling presence to the Range Rover Sport Autobiography, along with additional features. The Autobiography, which was introduced for 2010 as a limited edition, becomes an option package for 2011.

The 2011 Range Rover Sport HSE has a base MSRP of $60,495 (includes $850 destination and delivery charge) and is again available with the HSE LUX upgrade packages. The Range Rover Sport Supercharged returns with its formidable 510-horsepower supercharged V8 engine, at an MSRP of $75,395. New and reconfigured option packages enhance luxury and value.

New for 2011 highlights:

· Standard Extended Leather Package and contrast stitching on seats, center console and door panels on HSE LUX and Supercharged trim levels.

· New Vision Assist Package includes:; Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS; swiveling headlights); Automatic High Beam Assist (AHBA), and a Surround Camera System.

· Standard audio system now comprises 240-watt harman/kardon^® electronics and amplifiers and 9 speakers (including subwoofer).

· Optional Premium Audio includes 480-watt harman/kardon digital surround sound; 13 speakers plus subwoofer; HD radio, and satellite radio (satellite radio standard on Supercharged model).

· New paint colors: Fuji White, Baltic Blue and Siberian Silver.
