Spy shots of next Land Rover Discovery show interior parts borrowed from Range Rover

Not sure how much of this is just pre-production sharing but the Land Rover badge on the Rotary shifter/Terrain Response module looks like it might be the real thing.  We’ll have to wait and see if the Range Rover steering wheel makes it over as well.

That looks to be identical in layout to the current Range Rover with some changes including that Land Rover badge where Range Rover usually goes.  And the new Terrain Response controls – It appears they’ve removed the rotary control for Terrain Response and replaced it with left and right buttons – similar to how it functions in the current models – Range Rover & Range Rover Sport get rotary control while the Evoque and Land Rovers get the right/left controls.

Another thing to note is the number of Terrain Response options shown there – is it only four or is there another one at the 9 o’clock position?  Is Rock Crawl missing from this car?

2016.5 MY Range Rover update brings an additional 17cc to V6 Gasoline Engine, Bulletin MPR16-03

They didn’t update much for the MY16.5 Range Rover, most of it mirrors the MY16 document.  The biggest change, which is actually quite small, is the displacement increase for petrol V6 engines.

First they’re adding a second UK manufacturing location for the V6 & V8 gasoline engine and the V6 engine gets a 17cc displacement bump to 3012cc.

Enjoy!
