2010 Range Rover – Unlocking mode alternatives

Although it can be done through the instrument panel menu as well, the unlocking mode can be changed from the Smart Key itself. It can be unlocked using either Single or Multi-point entry. Single-point entry is a security feature that unlocks only the driver’s door when the unlock button is pressed. To change from Single to Multi-point entry (or vice versa), press both the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for three seconds. The hazard warning lamps will flash twice to confirm the change.

2010 Range Rover – Reclining Rear Seat Controls

More of the minutia I love – here are the controls for the new Reclining Rear Seats. This is the first time we see that the rear controls can logically only move the passenger seat forward and for those controls to work, the rear window isolation switch needs to be off.

Can’t wait to try these in person, the rear seats have always been a little too vertical and the lumbar feature looks good too.

2010 Model Year – Surround Camera Supply Issues

2010 Range Rover – Rear-Door Laminated Privacy Glass

In one of the official Land Rover press releases from the 2009 Frankfurt show, there was a sentence that caught my eye:

The addition of laminated rear-door privacy glass significantly reduces interior noise levels too.

This was in a paragraph describing the new Rear Recline Seat options, so I’m not clear on the specifics – does anyone know if it’s part of the Rear Recline Seat package or a new standard feature on Range Rovers? The addition of the laminated glass to the windscreen & front doors made a huge effect in noise dampening; it will be interesting to see how it effects the rear doors.

2010 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Here are some shots of the new Autobiography model comign to the Range Rover Sport family. I do like a lot of the little touches on this one – the Autobiogrpahy Sport text on the door wood trim & headrest, the Pimento leather on the gear shift but it doesn’t look like the leather headliner made to the Sport. I even like the body kit.
