Harry’s Garage drives the Ineos Grenadier – World has moved on…

Harry’s take is great on the Ineos Grenadier, it’s 2023, we don’t want a Defender from 1990. It’s one thing to be quirky Land Rover iterating the same vehicle for 50 years. It’s another to start clean and come up with something with all the old quirks intact.

I think there’s a reason Land Rover moved on as well.

Such a weird concept to take an old thing and keep it old.

Apple Watch app added back to Land Rover Remote!

This update slipped by me last week but got this notification when opening the iPhone app yesterday – The Apple Watch app has been added back to the Land Rover Remote app after a long absence.

No Remote Climate yet but looking promising!

First launch on Watch had me return to the iPhone app to authenticate

Then it was live with these three screens (the kilometers is a bug):

As we’ll see the House of Range Rover branding extends to the bulletins. As with other documents like this, there are typos. Don’t take everything as total truth. I think they swapped some of the options list on the P530 SE and the P550 Autobiography. Think logically if something seems wrong.

All screen, no buttons 2024 Pivi Pro

Didn’t post this for a while since it was for the Velar but now that we know Range Rover is getting it for MY24… Here’s the diagram for the updated hardware button-less Pivi Pro:

Profile icon: Touch to check for any received notifications. Notifications can only be received when the option has been activated.
Navigation tile: Touch to select the NAVIGATION assistance map.
Phone icon and tile: Touch to select the PHONE screen.
Media tile: Touch to select the media source select screen.
Status icons: Display the status of a vehicle feature or application.
DSC off icon. The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) OFF warning icon illuminates when the system is switched off. The icon is accompanied by a chime and a confirmation message in the instrument panel.
Temperature control Touch once to select cabin temperature and seat temperature control displays. The fan speed control display is also visible. Touch and hold to adjust the cabin temperature. Slide up to increase the cabin temperature, slide down to decrease the cabin temperature.
Edit icon: Swipe the home screen to the left or right to reveal the edit icon. Touch the edit icon to make changes to the home screen. The home screen can be edited to display a maximum of nine tiles.
Volume control:

Press and hold to display the volume slider. Drag up or down to adjust the volume. A numerical value will be displayed. A double press of the volume icon will mute/un-mute the volume.

A single press will display the volume slider. Use the volume slider to adjust the volume. A single press of the mute icon will mute/un-mute the volume.

To close the volume slider press the Exit icon.
Amazon Alexa Press briefly to start a voice session. Press and hold to cancel a voice session.
Parking Aid Camera icon. Touch the icon to activate the parking aid system manually.
Settings icon: Touch to select the settings screen. Select HOME SCREEN for settings. The QUICK, AUDIO and ALL soft keys are permanent options.
Media shortcut icons: The media shortcut icons displayed are dependent on the vehicle’s market specification.
Phone shortcut icons: The phone shortcut icons displayed are dependent on the vehicle’s market specification.
Navigation shortcut icons: The navigation shortcut icons displayed are dependent on the vehicle’s market specification.
Apps icon: Touch to select the apps screen.
Media icon: Touch to select the media source select screen.
Navigation icon: Touch to select the NAVIGATION assistance map.
Mode icon: Touch to view the vehicle control screen options. For TERRAIN RESPONSE OVERVIEW, ELECTRONIC AIR SUSPENSION OVERVIEW, AUTO STOP/START.
Heated windscreen/ rear screen icons: Demists and defrosts the windscreen or the rear screen. Press to switch on or off. If left on, it deactivates after a timed period, dependent on the outside temperature.
Max defrost: Press to switch maximum defrost for the windscreen on or off. The system directs dried air at the windscreen for rapid windscreen defrosting.
