2013 Range Rover, the little things, part two, rear seats with console #rangerover

As we first read in the initial press release, the back seat was getting some new attention:

With over 4.7 inches more legroom than the outgoing model, the rear occupants benefit from vastly increased space and comfort. The option of a two place rear seating package provides for the ultimate in personalized rear-seat luxury.

Similar to what they did with the Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate and Jaguar did with their XJ Ultimate, they swap out the center rear seat for a console upgrade.

2013 Range Rover Sport #rangerover

Some nice tweaks for the Sport in 2013, let’s hope the next 2013MY announcement is a bit more exciting though. 

Just a few inconsistencies in the official PR released.  The tech documents, although named 2013 are titled 2012 within the document.  And the last line of the press release says:

“Gears are selected by the rotary gear shifter and steering wheel paddle shift.”

On the Range Rover Sport with a gasoline engine and the six speed transmission, it’s always been the standard gear selector, the pictures showing the 2013 interior also show the standard gear selector.

Details, details.

2012 Range Rover Brochure #rangerover

Thanks again Patrick!

While not nearly as interesting as the previous Discovery 4 post, it still has some neat updates.  Although it’s so close to the previous years brochure, I think there’s a lot of Photoshop’ing going on.  The must not have a huge printing budget for the last year of this model…

So again, being the same brochure, I’m just going to point out a few interesting differences for 2012…
